Lenovo launched its new PHAB 2 Pro which was announced back in July 2016 in San Francisco. It is the world’s first Tango smartphone that has been made in collaboration with Google. It already went on sale in USA this November and showed up in Europe this month. And finally, Lenovo launched in China with a price tag of CNY 3999.
Lenovo has also launched the PHAB 2 Plus in China for CNY 1399, which was recently launched in India for Rs 14,999.
The Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro features a 6.4-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display, that is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (Quad 1.8 GHz A72 + Quad 1.2 GHz A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4GB RAM and comes with 64GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The PHAB 2 Pro comes with a 16MP rear primary RGB camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), a Depth camera and a Motion Tracking camera for Tango. On the front, there is a 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4 µm pixel size for Tango’s 3D mapping technology to understand the world around the user. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD), comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It features Dolby Atmos with 5.1 Dolby Audio Capture for an enhanced audio experience along with Triple Array Microphone with Active Noise-Cancellation. It has a metal body, which is 6.98 – 10.7 mm thick and weighs 259 grams.
The PHAB 2 Pro connectivity features includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phablet packs in a 4,050 mAh battery under the hood with support for fast charging. It is available in Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold color variants.
The Newly launched PHAB 2 Pro at a price tag of CNY 3999 will go on sale starting from December 26, 2016.
